The WaterWorks Golf Centre and Nature Reserve combines a 28 acre heritage nature reserve with an 18 hole par three pitch and putt golf course and driving nets. The golf course has been part of the local landscape for over 40 years, and the  nature reserve (formerly the Essex Filter Beds) was once home to the East London Waterworks Company which provided drinking water to surrounding boroughs over 150 years ago. The site offers an award winning golf centre, a Green Flag nature reserve – home to some of the rarest wildlife in the region, and an environmentally friendly visitor centre boasting excellent facilities which include a shop, café and interpretation room. See their website for more details.
