This group spent a day at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and had all recently completed an Access to Volunteering course.

The course offered local people with learning disabilities the opportunity to complete a 10 week programme of activities, aimed at giving them the skills they would need to become volunteers. All of the participants access Waltham Forest Day Services. Some of the group have undertaken voluntary work in charity shops and one participant has volunteered on a bicycle recycling project.

The course was delivered by Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and was funded through Access to Volunteering. The course was delivered at The Limes Children’s Centre in Walthamstow.

Part of the course involved the group participating in simple sports activities, including New Age Kurling.
